The Bangsamoro Sports Commission (BSC) undergoes an in-depth budget review with the members of the Technical Working Group being held today, February 10, at the MFBM Conference Room, MFBM Building, BGC, Cotabato City.

The BSC is one of the newly-created offices based on the Bangsamoro Autonomy Act No. 12 entitled “An Act Creating Bangsamoro Sports Commission, Providing for its Mandate, Powers, and Functions, Appropriating Funds, Therefor, and For Other Purposes.

The Commission is mandated to formulate policy, promote, regulate, coordinate, and implement programs for sports. It shall also provide for system, support and assistance in the development of sports.

The budget review will help the newly-created offices in financial planning, budgeting and fund utilization to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of their programs and projects.

The Technical Working Group members are MFBM Deputy Minister Atty. Ubaida C. Pacasem, CPA, Atty. Sittie Mariam I. Balahim, CPA, Atty. Rahma D. Sanglitan, CPA, Dir. Fatima Mending-Abas, CPA, Atty. Rasul M. Salik, CPA, and Ridha Ebrahim. The TWG is a special group that reviews, assesses, and scrutinizes the budget proposals of the different Ministries and Offices in the Bangsamoro Government.
