Primarily responsible for the sustainable development of the BARMM’s environment, natural resources, and energy resources, the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) successfully presented its proposed budget for FY 2022 during the Technical Budget Hearing held yesterday, August 12, at the Bajau Hall, OCM Building, BGC, Cotabato City.
The Ministry plans to strengthen its interventions on information and document systems to provide effective management of land records and efficient delivery of land transactions and information services to the public such as Document Archiving of Land Records and Patent Applications (DALPA) and Land Administration and Management System (LAMS). The plan also includes the 100-hectare Abakahuyan as a Research Model Site and the management of protected areas for the conservation of natural resources in the region.
The proposed budget was presented to the TBH panel chaired by MFBM Deputy Minister Atty. Ubaida C. Pacasem, and its members Atty Sittie Mariam I. Balahim, Atty. Rahma D. Sanglitan, Atty. Rasul M. Salik, Director Fatima Mending-Abas, and Ridha Ebrahim.
