The Technical Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2022 commences today, July 27 with the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) defending their 2022 budget proposals.

 

The MOST’s mandate is to set direction and leadership in science, research, inventions, technology education, their development and ensure the full and effective participation of all sectors in the planning, programming, coordination and implementation of scientific and technological researches.

 

The TBH is an annual activity conducted by the Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management (MFBM) which serves as an avenue where all Ministries and Offices present and defend their budget proposals based on the performance indicators on output targets and absorptive capacity.

 

The TBH Panel members are MFBM Deputy Minister Atty. Ubaida C. Pacasem, CPA, Atty Sittie Mariam I. Balahim, CPA, Atty Rahma D. Sanglitan, CPA, Atty Rasul M. Salik, CPA, Fatima Mending-Abas, CPA, and Ms. Ridha Ebrahim.

 

Endorsing authorities are also in attendance to oversee if the budget proposals meet necessary requirements relative to buildings and infrastructures, environment, and information and communication technology-related proposals as well as ensure that PAPs are aligned with the 1st Bangsamoro Development Plan and Bangsamoro Response and Recovery Plan.
