Cotabato City–Minister of Finance, and Budget and Management Ubaida C. Pacasem submits to Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim the two (2) bills namely; Bangsamoro Revenue Code (BRC) and Bangsamoro Budget System Act (BBSA) today, January 31, 2024.

“During the first transition, we worked on coming up with the Revenue Code. In its drafting, we worked with national personalities and highly competent experts in this field”, Pacasem said.

The MFBM also conducted series of consultations with the Ministries, Offices, and Agencies for the enhancement of the draft BRC.

On the Bangsamoro Budget System Act, one of the salient features of the bill is it empowers the Bangsamoro Government to manage financial resources effectively, aligning with its unique needs and aspirations within the broader directives of the Bangsamoro Organic Law.

The two (2) bills are expected to be submitted to the BTA Parliament within the 1st quarter of 2024.
